Signs for Hoffenheim

Rots has joined Hoffenheim from FC Twente on a long-term contract, the club announced.

Analysis: Rots enjoyed a breakthrough Eredivisie season in 2025/26, contributing four goals and four assists across 34 appearances for Twente to establish himself as one of the most promising young full-backs in Dutch football. Sporting director Andreas Schicker praised his clean passing, dynamism, offensive quality and physical presence in defensive duels, describing him as a modern full-back with enormous development potential who perfectly embodies the club's philosophy of nurturing young talent. Rots himself expressed his excitement at joining one of Europe's top three leagues and particularly at the prospect of competing in European football with Hoffenheim, making him the fourth senior addition to the squad ahead of the new campaign.
